Before Defining Our Roadmap, we need to clarify our long-term vision:
To achieve this, we adopted a highly popular technical approach: TailwindCSS and headless component libraries, along with code implementations based on React, Next.js, Framer Motion, and more. This is a tech stack we love and one with a strong user base.
For users leveraging other frameworks but wishing to incorporate Tailsee’s visual solutions, we recommend referencing our Figma files. While the Figma design system is not currently under active development, it will be open-sourced in the second phase of our roadmap and made freely available to everyone.
To achieve our vision, we’ve divided Tailsee’s development into three phases:
Deliverables: A collection of components, blocks, and templates across 3 to 5 themes.
Deliverables: A broader range of themes, customizable use cases, and immersive, Canvas-based backgrounds for advanced designs.
Build an AI-driven application capable of generating production-ready React and TailwindCSS code directly from natural language.
Goal: Dramatically enhance productivity, enabling indie hackers and small businesses to focus on building their core products. The AI will align outputs with Tailsee's design language to ensure quality and consistency.
To support this vision, Tailsee will undertake three annual challenges, beginning with the first on December 1, 2024:
Complete 1,000 components, blocks, and 30 templates across 3 to 5 themes.
This target is conservative; with greater attention and financial support, we will hire more experienced designers and developers to far exceed this milestone.
Explore multi-theme design styles and languages, exceeding 10 themes and creating advanced Canvas-based customizable backgrounds.
Develop a production-grade AI product.
This AI will output code aligned with Tailsee’s themes, ensuring quality and consistency. We will combine Reg-based methods with the most capable coding models of the time.
Note: These challenges may not strictly adhere to a one-year timeline. Preparations will begin early, and by the official launch of each phase, we’ll already be positioned for rapid iteration. Moreover, development will continue beyond these challenges, as Tailsee is a long-term project. This roadmap represents a conceptual summary, reflecting our commitment to our product philosophy.
